We can offer a unique service in tuition. Many photographers offer classes to help those keen to develop photography skills. Some also offer classes on the use of Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Elements.
We offer these services, but also offer studio sessions, landscape work, and, we believe, the unique service of modelling classes.
Studio
A photography studio is a frightening place for the novice. With numerous lights, softboxes, barndoors, filters, grids, gels, snoots, props, beauty dishes and everything else, when you first walk in you would be forgiven for walking straight back out again. We can help to explain the mysteries of studio lighting and give hands-on experience of photographing one of our regular models. Landscapes
We offer regular tuition on landscape photography on a one-to-one basis. We will take you to one of the locations where we frequently shoot, and teach you how to see and capture great photographs. By the end of the day you will have a series of images to show to your friends, but more importantly you will have the knowledge and expertise to go solo on your next trip. Modelling
We believe that this is a unique service that we offer. Many pretty girls and handsome boys would like to model. Very few ever make the grade. We can help you to learn the basics of posing and teach you some of the tricks of the trade and can help you to build a portfolio. While we cannot guarantee to turn you into a super model, our unique photography-based tuition will help you to get the most out of your natural look. Editing
There are many software packages that claim to help you to create images. We use Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop, Silver-efex pro and on-one software bundles. We are delighted to offer classes on the use of these products. We can talk you through our whole editing process from upload to print, showing you how we batch, develop, enhance, print and then store our images. Anybody with a basic grasp of computing will leave this class with a proficiency in photo editing that will help them to improve their images to a professional standard.
Here are some examples of how an expertise in photo editing can transform a photograph into a stunning picture. You can see the left hand image is the way it appeared in the camera, and the right hand image is the finished article, processed through Lightroom and Photoshop.
